The National Management Team of The Emerge Club (TEC) is our organization’s highest decision-making body, committed to driving the vision and mission of TEC across Africa. This exceptional group of leaders ensures that our core values—purpose, leadership, service, community, and character—are embedded in every initiative, project, and decision we make.

Who They Are

Our National Management Team comprises passionate and purpose-driven individuals, each responsible for a vital aspect of our club’s operations and growth. Together, they ensure the seamless functioning of TEC chapters, uphold our values and work toward advancing the impact of every member across Nigeria.

National Coordinator

The leader and face of TEC, responsible for providing overall direction, oversight, and strategic leadership. The National Coordinator works closely with all team members to ensure that the Club’s objectives are met and that TEC continues to thrive across institutions.

Deputy National Coordinators

The Deputy National Coordinators support the National Coordinator and oversee specific regions or focus areas.

They bridge the national body and local chapters within their regions, ensuring consistent communication, guidance, and support for all TEC initiatives.

Communications Director

In charge of managing internal and external communications, the Communications Director ensures that our messaging is clear, inspiring, and aligned with our mission. From newsletters to press releases, this role ensures that TEC’s voice resonates across all platforms.

Programs Director

The Programs Director is responsible for developing, planning, and executing our club activities and events. This role ensures that our programs are not only impactful but also relevant to the personal and professional development of our members.

Business and Marketing Director

Focused on the growth and sustainability of TEC, the Business and Marketing Director leads efforts to establish partnerships, secure sponsorships, and create opportunities for financial growth. They also oversee the promotion of our brand and initiatives to external stakeholders.

Digital Content Director

The Digital Content Director leads the creation of TEC’s digital assets, ensuring that all online content—whether articles, blogs, or multimedia—reflects the organization’s mission and values. They work closely with the Social Media Managers to maintain a cohesive online identity.

Social Media Managers

Responsible for maintaining TEC’s social media presence, these managers create, schedule, and post content that engages our audience, drives visibility, and fosters interaction. They play a key role in building an active online community around TEC’s values and initiatives.

Video Content Manager

This official is responsible for creating, editing, and producing all video-related content for TEC. From promotional materials to event coverage, the Video Content Manager brings TEC’s work to life through engaging visual storytelling.

Visual Content Manager

The Visual Content Manager focuses on creating visually striking materials—graphics, illustrations, and designs—that communicate TEC’s message in a compelling and accessible way. Their work ensures that TEC’s visual identity is professional and consistent across all platforms.

Director of Membership Engagement

Tasked with enhancing member involvement, the Director of Membership Engagement ensures that members stay active and connected. They organize activities, manage engagement programs, and collect feedback to continuously improve the TEC member experience.

Social Impact Director

The Social Impact Director leads TEC’s community-oriented projects, ensuring that all initiatives contribute to societal change. They identify impactful causes, spearhead campaigns, and ensure that TEC remains a force for good both within and outside the university environments.

Director of Research and Development

This official focuses on discovering new opportunities for TEC’s growth, as well as researching trends, best practices, and innovations that can be integrated into our programs. He/she helps TEC stay ahead of the curve by continuously identifying areas for improvement and new initiatives.

Their Mandate

The National Management Team is responsible for overseeing the affairs of all TEC chapters across Nigeria, ensuring that each club operates in line with our mission and values. This includes:

  • Establishing new clubs: Expanding TEC’s presence by helping institutions set up new chapters and mentoring local leadership teams.

  • Election/Appointment of club officers: Ensuring the selection of competent and passionate leaders who will drive the vision of TEC at each chapter.

  • Training and development: Providing continuous training, mentorship, and guidance to club officers, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to excel in their roles.

  • Discipline and accountability: Upholding a high standard of integrity, the team is responsible for ensuring that all officers and members adhere to TEC’s principles and policies.

  • Program and activity approval: Reviewing and approving the activities, programs, and events organized by local chapters to ensure alignment with TEC’s goals and quality standards.

Together, the National Management Team ensures that TEC continues to grow, innovate, and provide undergraduates across Africa with a platform for self-discovery, leadership development, and social impact. Their collective vision and leadership ensure that TEC remains a transformative force in shaping the next generation of leaders.

National Coordinator

Julia Tanimojo is the National Coordinator of The Emerge Club (Nigeria). She is currently a 400-level student of Pharmacy at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos.

Dep. National Coordinator

Henry Friday is currently the Deputy National Coordinator of The Emerge Club. He is a final-year student of Civil Engineering at the Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture, Umudike
